Certificate II in Building and Construction

Harvester’s Building and Construction course is a dynamic and highly professional training program designed to equip students with elite skills in Carpentry.

The 22216VIC Certificate II in Building and Construction (Carpentry) Pre-apprenticeship program aims to:

  • Provide participants with the knowledge and skills to achieve competencies that will enhance their employment prospects in the building and construction or related industries

Enable participants to gain a recognised credential and to make an informed choice of their proposed vocation and or career path.

Overview: The 22216VIC Certificate II in Building and Construction (Carpentry) Pre-apprenticeship has 640 total nominal hours.  The qualification consists of 12 core units/modules and 12 specific units/modules.  Some units will be delivered individually whereas other units will be clustered and combined within a common project of a practical and or theoretical nature and these are designed to consolidate student’s knowledge and skills.  The full-time program is delivered and taught across 1 whole school year.

Pathways: This pathway helps school leavers to develop skills and knowledge to assist them to gain a Certificate III apprenticeship. It is anticipated that participants who complete the 22216VIC Certificate II in Building and Construction (Carpentry) Preapprenticeship will have the skills and knowledge necessary to gain an apprenticeship with an employer in the building and construction industry.
