Student Wellbeing

Harvester Technical College takes a whole school approach to the health and wellbeing within our school community.

All our staff work collaboratively with students and parents to address any concerns as they arise. Students are continually supported not only to meet their academic abilities but to enhance their health and wellbeing, engagement, retention and the acquisition of life skills.

The school Welfare Officer is available to all students as required but Wednesday and Fridays are designated wholly to student support.

The Welfare Officer works with students to develop positive school cultures and to support students who are at risk of disengagement and not achieving their educational potential. Students that are exhibiting serious behavioural or emotional issues are also supported to manage these issues and parents are communicated with should any behaviour become a concern. Harvester Technical College supports students with additional needs linking them to other health care professionals and agencies for support if required.

Outside Agencies that we have a connection to include:

Child Safety

Our community values of Growth, Relationships, Learning and Wellbeing are underpinned by an understanding that Child Safety is a paramount responsibility of the school community. Harvester Technical College has a number of guiding policies regarding Child Safety on our web site located at http://www.sunshine.vic.edu.au

Please take some time to make yourself aware of these and contact the school should you have any concerns regarding Child Safety.
