Building & Construction

Harvester’s Building and Construction course is a dynamic and highly professional program designed to equip students with skills in Carpentry.

Harvester Technical College has a long history of delivering quality training in the area of building and construction over the past years. Our carpentry facility houses high end machinery and industry relevant tools & equipment. Some of these include:

Australian made and refurbished Waldown drill presses, Altendorf panel saw, Swiss Tec thicknesser, Laguna jointer, Laguna bandsaw and a wide range of Milwaukee power tools (drop saws, drills both AC and battery operated).

In support of this plant & equipment is a large range of onsite tools consisting of Paslode nailing systems, Redback laser levels and automatic Lufkin levels. To complement the above is theĀ  Australian made Job Maka, a 1200mm x 1200mm CNC (computer numerically controlled) flatbed router system.

Some of the projects made in the building and construction program range from the simple to the complex. From basic hand skill exercises all the way up to full sized building structures.

Building and Construction is taught by a qualified carpenter and teacher with numerous years of experience in both industry and the delivery of the Certificate II program.
